Del Rio Vineyards 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon earns Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Cellar Selection
IN THE NEWS

Every year, the editors of Wine Enthusiast look at more than 24,000 wine, spirits, and beer reviews to pick for their five top lists. The Top 100 Cellar Selections list highlights some of the best wines on the market that are perfect for lining your cellar. Del Rio’s 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon was one of four Oregon wines selected.

“We are honored to be included with such exceptional producers. We are incredibly proud, grateful, and humbled to receive such a highly regarded award from Wine Enthusiast,” said Rob Wallace, Del Rio’s owner. “To have a wine recognized to be one of the best in the world is remarkable and almost feels surreal. This year marks our 25th anniversary and this recognition is a testimony to our team’s hard work and dedication. Del Rio wouldn’t be what it is without its people.”

Wine Enthusiast’s, Michael Alberty, had this to say about the 2019 Del Rio Cabernet Sauvignon: “This powerful Cabernet Sauvignon offers blackberry and smoked brisket aromas that are likely to trigger hunger pangs. Brawny tannins and crisp acidity provide a nice structure for gobs of marionberry pie, blueberry, mint, and cigar box flavors.”

2023 has been an exciting year for Del Rio. In addition to receiving such an esteemed award, Del Rio has earned critical acclaim and several 90+ scores from multiple wine critics this year, including Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and James Suckling.

The recent Del Rio wines scores are as follows:
