Oregon Wine Experience Announces 2023 Event Lineup
WINE EVENT

The signature Oregon Wine Experience celebration, a five-day series of events, will take place August 16-20, 2023, at Stage Pass, a grand seven-acre spread just outside of beautiful Jacksonville, Ore.

Oregon Wine Experience is the signature event of the Asante Foundation, with 100 percent of the event's proceeds benefiting Southern Oregon's local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. To date, Oregon Wine Experience has raised more than $10.4 million – with the 2022 event raising $2.2 million – to help fund the new Olsrud Family Women's and Children's Hospital at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. This modern, family-centered care environment will improve medical outcomes and personal experiences for families across the region.

This year's Oregon Wine Experience will take place once again under a 38,000 square-foot tent at Stage Pass, and feature five main events: a Medal Celebration for this year's Oregon Wine Competition®, the Collectors' Tasting & Founders' Barrel Auction, the Miracle Auction & Salmon Bake, and the Grand Tasting. The Medal Celebration will be broadcast online for Oregon wine lovers across the country or world to tune in and enjoy.

"We anticipate this year's Oregon Wine Experience to be bigger and better than ever," said Andrea Reeder, vice president and executive director of Asante Foundation. "Before the exciting series of events even starts, we want to send a heartfelt 'thank you' to all of this year's donors and sponsors, who truly will make a once-in-a-lifetime impact on the lives of babies, children and families from across the region."

Full Lineup of Events

Wednesday, Aug. 16 Riedel Clarity of Crystal: Oregon Wine University® class: Attendees will taste from a curated collection of Riedel Voloce glasses and discover why and how each glass makes a difference on the palate as they savor medal-winning Oregon wines. Get tickets.

Thursday, Aug. 17 Medal Celebration: Results from the 2023 Oregon Wine Competition® will be announced. The event will be livestreamed so fans of Oregon wine can view across the region, country and world with a front row seat to see who wins. There will also be an in-person audience.

Friday, Aug. 18 Collectors' Tasting & Founders' Barrel Auction: At the Collector's Tasting, which occurs one hour before the Barrel Auction, guests will receive an exclusive early opportunity to taste the wines of the 2023 Founders' Barrel Auction. The Founder's Barrel Auction features winemakers and their exclusive creations from all corners of the state; attendees can bid online or from their phones for a chance to win these special cases from wineries' selected barrels.

Saturday, Aug. 19 Miracle Auction & Salmon Bake: One of the most popular events of the week. During a sumptuous salmon dinner, the program will showcase the vast impact of philanthropy and highlight the cause of the Asante Foundation. A real auctioneer and the master of ceremonies will guide attendees through a live auction of amazing items and packages, and will cue a paddle raise. The silent auction portion of the proceedings garners participation from anyone, anywhere, through an online and mobile bidding portal that is open the entire week.

Sunday, Aug. 20 Grand Tasting: As the title of this event suggests, this is truly a grand event, the largest of the week. Attendees will take a journey through Oregon's award-winning wine and culinary pairings from featured restaurateurs.

The Oregon Wine Experience culminates in this amazing week in August, but there are year-round events worthy of exploration, as well. The Oregon Wine Competition will take place July 15-16, when six world-renowned wine experts travel to Oregon and evaluate wines submitted to the competition; submissions are currently open.

Ultimate Vintner Dinners will also take place throughout the region from May through August; these smaller, more intimate gatherings will take place at wineries and culinary partner locations.

The schedule of Oregon Wine University classes have also been announced for those seeking Oregon wine education; tickets are available now, with proceeds benefiting the Asante Foundation.
