Stout Grove is the world’s most scenic stand of redwoods. Stout Grove is a quintessential alluvial-flat grove, with an otherworldly, cathedral-like majesty. A minimalist approach to development has left the grove largely natural and unspoiled.



These 300-foot trees are considered by many as the heart of Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. This majestic 44-acre grove of old-growth redwoods is a popular summer destination for those willing to take on the challenge of getting there.

Enjoy a 0.7-mile loop trail near Hiouchi, California. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 14 min to complete.



Deep within the Siskiyou Mountains you’ll find the Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve. The Monument is located at an elevation of 4,000 feet on the wooded slopes of the Siskiyou Mountains, part of the coastal mountain range of Oregon and California. These dark, twisting passages await your discovery.



Eons of acidic water seeping into marble rock created and decorated the wondrous “Marble Halls of Oregon.” Explore a mountain from the inside and out by joining a tour and getting a taste of what caving is all about. Tours through the Oregon Caves are only offered from Thursday through Monday from late March through the end of November. Tours are closed from December through late March.
